Meet Dr. Wade Port

Dr. Wade wants everyone to feel welcome and comfortable in our office environment, so he doesn’t stand on formality. People are encouraged to refer to him as Dr. Wade, Dr. Port or just just plain Wade—whatever they’re comfortable with.

Our chiropractor loves people—they fascinate him! When they come to him for support and give him their trust, especially with their children, he’s honored by the opportunity and privilege to serve them. The fun part for our team is serving and providing adjustments that have the potential to change lives.

A Chiropractic Journey

Home to the largest chiropractic university in the world, Marietta is also Dr. Wade’s hometown. He was first exposed to chiropractic while working at a coffeehouse on Marietta Square. He recalls, “The shop was always full of students from Life University, and one day a student asked me what I knew about chiropractic.”

She invited Wade to experience Chiropractic which he gladly accepted. Explaining that our life experiences cause us to become desensitized to our bodies, her goal was to resensitize the body through chiropractic. As she gently touched his spine, Dr. Wade felt ripples and waves move through his body, and a clearing in his system. He sensed a knowing of the principle of chiropractic through every fiber of his being, without ever being taught.

Dr. Wade attended Georgia Military College, and Georgia College & State University. Then he enrolled at Life University to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic in 2004. Dr. Wade always thought he’d stay close to family in Atlanta, but he felt a calling to go to Sun Valley, Idaho.

It was there Lifeworks Chiropractic first started. Dr. Wade worked with celebrities, Olympic and national athletes, actors, and touring musicians. He also served as one of Tony Robbins’ personal chiropractors.
